agreed spiritstereo. would love to see korine throw out a tight script akin to kids. then again, artists always have different "periods" of their work. can you imagine the work of a 50 year old korine? haha.

personally, while i think trash humpers was completely unique, i was a bit too aware that it was just korine and his friends dressed up. i lost that suspension of disbelief and couldn't get lost in the world of the film. that said, it had some great aesthetics and claiming its just the "VHS-look" is kidding yourself. korine knows how to frame interesting shots and find great locations. TH almost felt like a play at times. lots of monologues.

though for me, nothing will beat gummo. masterpiece.

i get what you're saying, of course korine knew what he was doing camera-wise. i think thats part of the beauty - that something like this is actually conceivable. i think he pulled it off incredibly well but like i say, i see where you're coming from.

and i agree about Gummo. He'll never top that ever.

so, i've been reading this board a lot, just have never actually posted on it.. but my dilemma is that i ordered it from warp a while ago, before the drag city release was available. i want to confirm that warp will ship to the U.S. since that's where I live... i know it's probably a really dumb question to have, considering i'm 99% sure i know the answer, but i'm still getting extremely paranoid, especially since i'm reading that most of you have received your DVD already, and i still haven't received mine. I got the email on the 14th, so i'm probably just being anal and impatient, but being a huge korine fan, i need to see this movie (i missed the screenings due to lack of transportation and the closest screening being 6 hours away).

so i guess to summarize it all up, has anyone from the U.S. received a copy of the DVD from warp? and there's absolutely no difference in the dvd from warp and drag city? i just feel kind of cheated that i spent $10 more on trash humpers from warp, especially since the extra $10 will probably go to the company, and not harmony (sorry, i'm broke as hell). if anyone can help me, it'd be much appreciated and i thank you in advance.

someone said they recently received Warps shipping confirmation-as in there shipping now. The only reason why drag city or in this case "the u.s." is getting there's first is because production of the DVD's is here in the u.s.a.

be patient grasshopper.

I finally got to see this after unfortunately missing the UK screenings. I thought it was amazing. Perhaps his best ever.

I would appreciate if somebody could up this movie at TPB. I plan on buying it. But I'm broke right now and recall Korine, basically saying he doesn't care if you upload it.

Yeah he doesn't give a fuck but Warp/Drag City might. Either way someone will upload it in the next few days anyway.
