I think we can all agree that 2004 was a pretty mediocre year for movies, but fortunately next year looks like it will be a lot better. Here are the films that i'm most looking forward to in 2005:
Upcoming Gaspar Noe Project (possibly titled Enter the Void). Super-secret project supposedly being filmed in Japan, about kids doing drugs and something concerning The Tibetan Book of the Dead(?!?!?!)
A Hole In My Heart
Undertow (i know this already came out, but maybe it will get a wider release?)
Dandelion (looks like it could be dumb, but could be really nice too. Hopefully it will be more All the Real Girls and less Garden State. That Tim Orr is the cinematographer is definitely a good sign. You can watch the trailer here.)
Possibly Upcoming Harmony Korine Project(?)
Manderlay (not so much, but we'll see...)
Scars (new Leos Carax!)
Pusher II (if this comes out in America it will totally make my year)
Dear Wendy (new Thomas Vinterberg, written by Lars Von Trier, should be good...)
3-Iron (new Kim Ki-duk)
9 Songs (will this ever come out here?)
Millions (new Danny Boyle, hopefully decent)
Well, i guess that about covers it.
