Oh, I've wanted to see Cannibal Holocaust for a while, and Pixote too, but I am slow to see. Cannibal Holocaust is banned here. I can't think of any others now, but there are a few.

"American Dreamer" a documentary made about Dennis Hopper during the editing of his film "The Last Movie." It basically consists of him in Taos, New Mexico doing loads of drugs, having orgies and shooting automatic weapons.
We will play no favorites. Beginning on the day after Christmas, any employee caught nodding out, jacking off, or otherwise squandering company time, will pay the penalty.

I guess what's rare in some countries ain't so rare elsewhere...
A lot of films listed are readily available in a lot of countries.
while everyone under the sun wants a copy of Christine, road etc. I don't think anyone has one. I have been trying for so many years it's upsetting. I know that I have a lot of obscure films, but they are all pretty much available, one way or another. ooh, ecept for my copy of Jang Sun-Woo's Timeless, Bottomless, Bad Movie, a dub of the Cannes (1997?) print- I think the only time it was ever shown with English subtitles. Marketed as the 'real Kids', Jang gave cameras to a bunch of street kids and they filmed themselves fucking around, drugs, violence, yada, yada. It's fucking good!

My library has both Love Streams and Why Does Herr R. Run Amok. You can probably find Love Streams on ebay.

I'm looking for:
Thursday's Children
Mala Noche
I'll Never Get Out of This World Alive
Eat the Document

Can't u like borrow them and dub them? I would actually be willing to pay u for WDHRRA. Even though the quality of the tape would probably suck I'm sure.

That must be how it is cause, out of the ones I mentioned, "California Split", "La Luna", all of Clarke's films, and "Above the Below" have never even been released and distributed on video in the US, much less dvd. There are also those that are out of print. The other ones I mentioned range from relatively easy to find to what I think to be pretty obscure....even the easiest stuff to find of those listed won't ever turn up at your Best Buys and Circuit City's. Especially "Mouchette". I think I payed upwards of 50 dollars for that tape.

http://www.videofixation.com

has high school i belive

the site might be down right now i know he was doing some work on the site, but when its back up you can get a copy from there.

i dont really have a list of rare films as of now, theres just certain films that have been a bitch to find around here, without ordering them offline for alot.

good idea for a post though, and everyone should check out videofixation when its back up. alot of good stuff

id like to see the making of the idiots, as well as the idiots. never saw it.

I don't know how these work really since I've never belonged to one but they sound intriguing. I think it was you Otis who directed me to one when I was looking for "Christine". I think it would be ideal for this site cause they're wouldn't be a lot of corruption with so few people. I am all for this idea myself.

Thanks much man for the info. I'll definitely keep an eye on this site. I don't even own one Wiseman film and he's like my favorite filmmaker, it sucks. I gotta get at least a couple of them.
