It's not legally available in North America.

Try finding an indie video store that rents out bootlegs or import it yourself from europe via amazon or ebay, keep in mind that you have to considor what region the dvd is.

It's incredibly easy to get region 1 versions of it on Ebay.

Also, <a href="http://www.superhappyfun.com" target="_blank">www.superhappyfun.com</a> sells a DVD-R of it for $13.

just make sure you find a reliable seller. this kind of thing could have some pretty shady offers.

I bought my copy of Ken Park on DVD at a film festival as a bootleg from some guy for $20. Its a good copy with the front written in English and Russian and a great little type-up on the back in English. Completely uncut and worth the twenty bucks.

I'm glad its not for sale as a major DVD because if it weren't banned, it'd still be cut and altered so that it could be released. The infamous "jerk off" scene with Tate would be censored very much, I imagine.

And even if Amazon or another company offered a release to the man himself, I have a good feeling Clark would decline.

Yeah, i think it's almost helped the film that it hasn't been released in the US. It has gained a kind of high-profile stigma about it that i think Larry Clark is probably aware of. I even read him proudly proclaim that it was "the most downloaded film on the net" or something along those lines. If anything, he should be glad that the film has been hyped so much as being unreleasable. It certainly hasn't hurt his image as a rebel auteur any.
