Baal would make a terrible mother.

I think it honestly looks very nice, very impressive. I think it'd be interesting to see you do more less spasmodic things though, not necessarily longer but just more sustained.

I'm surprised that you say all this is just a casual hobby. You don't have any bigger ambitions for any of it even at the back of your mind? Did you ever?

Sure, I get pleasure out of people seeing and liking the movies and would enjoy it being seen on a much larger scale, but I've never realistically thought these being well known as plausible. Right now I'm going through interviews to get a job with a chemical plant. Once I enter the real world, I doubt I'll have time for such foolishness, especially a feature. Jason LaRay Keener plans on making a feature but that could be a long ways away. He's going to stay in his well paying free lance job until the work runs out.

I am perhaps more optimistic. I believe if you stuck with it, that is if you were really interested in making films, things would work out in the end.

I found this short extremely disorientating, but I truly liked some of these scenes. Maybe this is the effect you were going for, a sort of assault on the senses... that or my mind is far slower than your own. I disagree with the poster who said it wasn't crowded -- it is, perhaps too much so. I wanted some time to process something... ah, I don't know. For instance with the spiders, without giving that man a face, I sort of felt like the scene was too empty. Like an idea that doesn't go anywhere and stays empty. If this is something you intend to study or pursue furthermore then maybe it needs a bit of tweaking. Jesus, this is turning into some bad review. Did you want my opinion?

Well, I liked it and as Brutus said, very impressive, because I've tried shooting things before, and this final product looks very accomplished. I don't know if I'd be able to handle more than half an hour of these slices, and I wouldn't tell you to try and expand on them, but hopefully we'll be able to see more of an extended piece in the future.

i agree with some of the people on here... while this is certainly your most technically accomplished work, i feel like your content is getting a bit repetitive. where do you find those old videos (like the couples dancing) and the girl speaking? or was that monologue your own invention? either way, all that stuff is enthralling.

previous criticism aside, the images of the turtle were mesmerizing, and the line "i think my venus flytrap is anorexic" is my favorite thing you've ever done. Ever.

The old video tape and audio are from old home videos.

Does it really get old at a rate of 10 minutes a year? A lot of artists have been one trick ponies and made a career last for years (example).
